    well done
Well worth celebrating (in DFW style of course - hope the good habits stay with you :D )
  • I dont ever want to really take out another card or loan - Now I am going to save up for a new Bathroom Suite and notice the word "save" in that statement. But at the moment my total savings are £600 for this month after paying my bills. So I have £600 to start off with. Any tips on "saving up" would be appreciated guys!
  • Oh well done you! :T

Really pleased for you. And I can relate to the never wanting another loan thing again too. Urgh - can't *wait* to get rid!

Congratulations - enjoy your debt free status. Fab.

    Well done you.
Can you afford to put away even part of what you were spending on debt each month in savings?

  • Well beanielou the debt at its highest was £3400 odd if I remember right - maybe just more and I was paying the minimum balance by DD which was about £80 odd I think. But as I started to clear the debt the minimum payment was less. So I guess maybe I could save £100 a month

  • I have written the letter oops a daisy - but even though I have sent the closing balance by Internet Bill Payment I do not think they get it for 4 working days which sucks - So I am going to send the letter 2nd class say next Tuesday - The only thing is that I shredded the card some time ago as I spent on it so to avoid further temptation I destroyed it and now I do not know if I ahve to send it back
  • Well done!!!! That is great
