Best mortgage?

m
I have recently contacted a financial advisor to arrange a suitable mortgage.
I am planning to borrow £95000 at a fixed rate and with the option to overpay
when it suited me.
The best deal she found was with Northern Rock at 4.99% fixed for 3 years, interest rate calculated daily(which I understand is now quite common)
£534 per month with an overpayment facility, all I am asking is, is this as good as I can get?

I won't actually compare deals against eachother on these boards- as depends on your individual needs/ circumstances

My only comment would be -just watch out for some of the fees with Northern Rock- being higher than the industry average (IMHO) - they do offer "assistance with fees" but this comes with an 3.5 yr tie, effectively longer than the fixed rate

I'd agree with payless on this one - Northern Rock are not always the most cost effective option - but it will depend on your personal circumstances as to who offers the best deal to you.
