Best mortgage?

I have recently contacted a financial advisor to arrange a suitable mortgage.
I am planning to borrow £95000 at a fixed rate and with the option to overpay
when it suited me.
The best deal she found was with Northern Rock at 4.99% fixed for 3 years, interest rate calculated daily(which I understand is now quite common)
£534 per month with an overpayment facility, all I am asking is, is this as good as I can get?

I won't actually compare deals against eachother on these boards- as depends on your individual needs/ circumstances
My only comment would be -just watch out for some of the fees with Northern Rock- being higher than the industry average (IMHO) - they do offer "assistance with fees" but this comes with an 3.5 yr tie, effectively longer than the fixed rateAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
I'd agree with payless on this one - Northern Rock are not always the most cost effective option - but it will depend on your personal circumstances as to who offers the best deal to you.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
