Mortgage criteria change

Hi,
Can anyone offer some advice, we've been arranging a new 2year fixed deal via London & country and when the lender sent through the mortgage conditions (just before the solicitors where due to start finalising the deal) we discovered a criteria had changed ( overpayment options) which was an important option when it came to deciding to take the mortgage, as we wish to overpay.
London & country failed to inform us of the change.
What we would like to know is.
Would they have known about this change?
Where would be the place to start with regards to complaining? as we can't seem to find any info of this on their website.
Are we entitled to any form of compensation due to the time we've wasted?
Any info would be much appreciated

What was it that has changed exactly?
On the one hand, you get application criteria, which the broker will likely be well versed in, and on the other hand, you get bank policy and procedure regarding maintenance of accounts etc, which to be honest with you I doubt the broker will receive updates on.
In any case, I doubt you will receive compensation of any kind. Why should you? At the end of the day you have an option to take it or leave it.0
