Hi I've been out of work for a very, very long time due to being a carer. I'm age 50 and I've noticed a local company is looking for someone to help them full time with their online sales via ebay and amazon. (I'm a private seller.)
They want applicants to suggest their wage expectations. I'm so out of date with things that I'm not sure what to put. Would £8.00 an hour be about the wage for this type of role? (I brief bit of research seems to suggest this is the average wage for this type of job)
Also does anyone think it foolish to throw myself into full-time after so long away from work. I could just pick something part time.
I could just go for it without asking for any advice but i feel a bit under confident.

    Hi pearl123,

I agree that £8.00 an hour is the going rate - you may wish to suggest slightly more depending on your experience and skill.

If you can provide them with examples of e.g. what you did to create a listing and achieve the best possible price, your understanding of the importance of each element that goes into a listing and how it can affect sales i.e. correct category, imagery etc. this may give you an advantage over others.

Also do you have any other skills that may be relevant i.e. image editing as this could also be useful for them.

    Best of Luck,
