Living with my 1 parent(Mom) in a completly paid off morgage house what are the rules if I(the son of home owners) live there after a lifetime mortgage equity release has been put in place and 1 of my now divorced parent's passes away? My other parent live's in a different house of his own. The morgage is in joint names but would I still be able to live there if 1 but not both parent's passed away, example. if my mom passed away but my Dad live's somewhere else would I still be able to live in the house since my Dad's a joint owner but doesn't live here or could they still sell the house as part of the equity release? Thanks.
