TSB Loans

I've been getting the runaround from TSB. Although you can apply online you NEED to confirm details by telephone. However this is only available during working hours AND even then there are a limited number of 'lenders' who 'may' be available. There are NO call backs. I've called three times today to no avail. It's not clear to me if this is purposeful so that only the most determined get through and:( then a loan or just plain bad practice. I for one intend taking my debt somewhere else, somewhere where it doesn't feel like a scam.

If what you're trying to do is apply for a loan but you are having difficulty getting through, it sounds like they are simply understaffed to deal with the volume of enquiries they are receiving. The telephone confirmation will presumably be a security requirement to prevent fraudulent applications, and thus seems to me the very opposite of a scam.
