Finding a mortgage broker

Hi

We are hoping to move home later this year and have our eye on a new build. My question is, how do I go about finding the best mortgage broker - my husband is director of a limited company and works under CIS (it will be a sole application as I have been self employed less than a year so have no accounts). When I look online I can see that there are specialist mortgage brokers who deal with my husbands circumstances, and I wondered if I would need to use one of these or if I could go to any broker?

Thanks.

As a specialist newbuild broker I'd say use someone like us. ;)

All you need is someone with an eye for detail who understand the newbuild market and how cash incentives are viewed by different lenders.

CIS scheme will be known to most.

Thanks for your reply. I am finding the whole process so stressful as the last time we took out a mortgage our circumstances were entirely different. I'm trying to look for a broker but have no idea where to start. There is so much conflicting advice!

Why not start with your builder's suggested broker firm?
