I'd order half a pig, or add the extra for beef/lamb.
My butcher does half a pig for £35 - £50 and bags everything up individually ready for the freezer, or lets you pack it yourself at home. He does sausages with the scraps and you get heaps of meat.
I was picturing the pig slowly turning on the spit there for a moment!
Reminds me, bacon ribs, mmmmmmmmmmmmm, not had them for years!!!! Know what I'm getting next!0 -

Reminds me of the olden days, mid seventies, when we used to buy half a pig and half a lamb to stock up the big chest freezer we had in the shed. We thought it was money saving, I'm not convinced, we were usually left with some obscures bit of lamb or pork, that were covered with ice, in the bottom far corner in the depths of the freezer, that somehow never got eaten.I'd order half a pig, or add the extra for beef/lamb.
