Rates Refund?

Quick question, I don't seem to be able to find an answer on the Rates website.
Am in the process of selling a second property, if the rates bill arrives before I sell, and I pay the full amount up front, can I get a pro rata refund from the sell date?
Thanks in advance

Yep, I just sold our second property and they told me on the phone I'd get four days refund (sold on 27th March) as I'd paid the whole year up front.0
