Career loan

I need to borrow in the region of 25k to develop my career, I need an unsecured loan because I have nothing to secure it.

Any ideas of how to go about borrowing this sort of money, bank etc

You can apply for a Career Development Loan. They lend you up to 80% of the course fees and you start paying it back after 2 years.

I got one for my postgrad studies and have just started paying it back.

I'm afraid the CDL is no good for me, only a max of £8000 and over a max period of 5 years.

I'm going to try my local HSBC and see what they say to 25k unsecured, also I need to pay over 8-9 years to keep the repayments down.

Any other ideas?

what are you currently earning?
will the career development allow you to continue earning at that rate if not then what.

I will earning a little less than I'm now. I went to the HSBC this morning and they offered me 15k but they revealed a CCJ on my credit score (unsatisfied) but this is an error as this CCJ was satisfied in February 2005, I contacted the court and they never received the satisfaction letter so this is now being dealt with and I should be able to get 25k fingers crossed:rotfl:
