Newbie in need of advice - mortgage required?

Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with my situation and acquiring a property / getting a mortgage and just what my options are.

I'm looking to purchase a property (probably by myself) which is likely to be valued anywhere between 850k - 1mil.

I currently own 2 properties outright through inheritance

1) valued around 650k &
2) valued around 800k.

I'd rather not sell these properties so that's not really a consideration. I'm also not living in these properties so rental incomes could be achieved.

Thanks in advance for helping out a total newbie.

What exactly are you asking Nick? All you've told us is you need a mortgage and you already own 2 properties. You haven't told us why this is relevant or what your income and deposit is.

The options are to buy with cash. Or part cash and mortgage. But I presume you knew that. so it's a strange question to ask.

    ....so ?

I currently own 2 properties outright through inheritance

Unless that's recent that's going to add a fair chunk of change to the cost of this house due to the extra SDLT

    1) valued around 650k &
    2) valued around 800k.

This is not relevant if you aren't selling them

You may be a newbie but isn't it obvious people would need to know what your income is and how big a mortgage you'd need ?
