Good Afternoon,
Looking for some advice really, if anyone has been in this situation before,
We are buying a new build, We have all the mortgage in place, however the street name was not accepted by the builder,(relates to a bad area) which is other side of town FYI. so the builder asked the council to change it, he asked them to change this around 3 weeks ago. and ever since we have only been told we haven't heard from the council yet. We have no completion date as apparently he is waiting for this
I have tried to speak to the council and have put in a formal complaint as we are getting no where, they told me i need to speak to the builder and hinted it was his fault, Our solicitors can not go any further without an address. I have a feeling some one is not been honest, either the builder or the council.
has anyone been in a situation like this or know why either one would want to hold back the address. ? ?
If i was buying this without my family i would have pulled the sale, thats how annoyed i am,

Possibly.
But maybe since the title of your post is so generic they missed it. How about altering it to something more descriptive of your problem, since most posters here want "advice" ?0 -
Any one had any situation like this ?0

Sorry, this is really the only thing holding up completion? You mean the house is ready to move into?0 -

This is the public sector we are talking about. So new names most likely go before the full council. To ensure that there no objections.0 -
Yeah i do agree,
Just when is spoke to the council she implied to speak to the builder, like it was something he had done or said, But when i speak to the builder i get its the council,
Obviously someone is lying,0
