Mortgage Application documents confusion

Hi guys.
I know this has probably been done to death but couldn't quite find it anywhere in the searches.
We have recently applied for a mortgage promise. Which did a soft search and was accepted.
Was advised to find house, make offer and then call back.
Done this and the house is being bought for approx 66% of the total amount we were offered.
Had my appointment confirmed for this week and an email to say what documents I'd need to provide.
In there it lists pay slips I'd etc etc. The only place it mentions bank statements is where it says
"3 months bank statements if you are in receipt of child benefit/working tax credits and you don't bank with the bank"
I thought I'd need to provide statements full stop and it was just a question of how many! However that suggests I won't need to prove as benefits don't apply.
Has anyone had a mortgage go through recently and not had to provide statements?

Bank statements are being asked for less and less, with more emphasis being on customer testimony regarding expenditure, so this is normal.0

The welcome return of a form of liar loan to the market, so much for more stringent lending criteria!0

Should that have said and/or?3 months bank statements if you are in receipt of child benefit/working tax credits and you don't bank with the bank
The lender will have the ability to use internal systems to view your account conduct and compare your payslips and salary credits and should require statements only if you bank elsewhere.I am a mortgage broker. Yeah thought it may be a miss type on the email they sent.
Sure I'll find out in a few days time n whether they ask for them or not.

Some lenders don't require statements, some do. All do a full credit history check, so your 40k debt will not go unnoticed if you lied.
Some people prefer those lenders who don't want statements, especially if they have gambling transactions for example"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
