Mortgage advice....

Good morning

I'm just after some advice, Between the years of 2011-2013 I got into some financial difficulties, which led to some adverse on my credit file. I have 3 defaults and a ccj, 2 of the defaults are for communications the other being for a bank loan for £700, my defaults have all been settled with the bank loan default and one communication default falling off my file in November. My ccj was registered on 14th march 2014 and discharged on the 1st august 2014 the amount being £156.

In June 2015 my wife and I managed to get a mortgage with precise on a 2 year fixed deal which is about to end, understandably we paid a high Apr. We was offered a remortgage rate of 5.09 on a fixed deal with precise, having spoken to a local mortgage advisor he told us he was very confident of getting a better deal else where. Fast forward a few weeks he advised trying the Halifax and Kensington, saying that Halifax could be a yes failing that the we definitely meet Kensingtons criteria.

As it happens we have been declined by both mortgage providers with my advisor saying, there is nothing he can do for 3 years until all the adverse is gone and to stay on Precise variable rate which currently stands at 5.74. Sorry to waffle on, do you think it's worth seeking advice from another broker or leave it as it is.

Many thanks for reading, any advice much appreciated.
