DMP advice please

HI there
We are in approx 30K of u/s debt and are thinking of organising a DMP as things are getting out of control !
We have 3 credit cards with a combined total of £12.000 and 2 loans, one for 12000 and one for 10000.
Would it be possible do you know to do a DMP with the credit card companies and keep on repaying the loans as normal, or would the credit card companies take exception to this??
Its just that the 2 loans are with Abbey who we bank with and have mortgage with and we do not want to risk them stopping our mortage etc. I dont know what to do really, as we are at breaking point!

Many thanks for any help offered

Li

  • If the loans are unsecured, then the credit card companies will not like it. Why don't you speak to one of the agencies (e.g. CCCS) to see if they can advise further.

I would be very careful before you dod anything because of the mortgage connection.

    Good luck

  • Thanks for your reply, I will have a look at a few of the websites first, its just scary picking up the phone!
