Contact your local Am Dram (amateur dramatic) society, they have them sometimes and will hire them out for £5-£10. Trouble is they can be pretty manky, as when you're on stage you're at a distance and can get away with black felt tip over the bald bits etc.
And worse, they may not have been cleaned after My Fair Lady (Ascot scene) and may have make-up and sweat from the previous occupant  .......maybe this isn't such a good suggestion.

Don't know of any hire places, but I did see men's suits in Tesco for some ridiculously low price last week, quite smart but very cheap, might be worth giving your local Extra a ring to get the prices.

Charity shops are excellent places to pick up a tux - often only worn once or twice.
Even if you then take it to a seamstress to get it taken up etc it will still work out at a bargain, and helping a good cause as well.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Nooooooooooo!!!!! Every self respecting amdrammer knows it's MORNING suits for the Ascot Gavotte! It's DINNER suits for the Embassy Waltz!
I get my dinner suits (and show costiumes when needed) from the charity shops in Prestwich usually, there's about four or five together on the precinct or Bury New Road. It's amazing how many people die who are my size....is that a warning I need to go on a diet?0 -
