Just completed my AIP today with halifax, i plan to do the full application on saturday.
When entering self employed figures today they asked for earnings in 16/17 which only ended yesterday. Tax returns for this are not due till Jan 18 so i don't have sa302 for this year. Am i now going to have to get my accountant to do my company accounts and tax returns early?

No. 15/16 will still be considered "current" until October 2017.
I don't know what is on the direct system, but the broker system allows us to complete the latest three years ourselves and put the 15/16 figures in the 16/17 box as a projection, to show no change expected.I am a mortgage broker.
