Moneyway
I have a moneyway car loan. Taken over 5 years and now past the 4 years mark. I am 1 month in arrears £190 and they sent a company round to repossess the car. I know they can not do that they have to take me to court. They are a nasty company to deal with and why they did this beggars belief. They have now added £260 "Repossession" charge to my account. As they were not legally entitled to repo the car can they in fact add this charge to my account? Any thoughts?

Seek legal advice ASAP. Get to your local CAB and get someone to look at their T&Cs and see what they're trying to pull here.

no they didn't I simply said that you need a court order to take the car because I had paid over 50% of the loan and to f off my property0

On the face of it, this is the kind of Wild West behaviour that has no place in our society. As was advised previously, you need to report these facts to the relevant body and seek guidance from citizens advice.
I doubt that they can charge you for an attempted illegal repossession. Please do follow this up because, if you don't, they will continue to act in this unacceptable manner.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -
Just an added thought: If you fall behind with your payments, I don't think it matters whether you've paid over 50% of the loan or not, they can still apply to repossess the car. But you're right about them needing the relevant paperwork from the court.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0
