Well she made the Apple crumble and I think she got as much flour on her as we used for the crumble
and it's away home now for after tea
But that is the pure joy of learning to cook
I'm 53 and still I can get flour and sugar everywhere
I have a couple of DH's old shirts that I put on them. It kind of helps with clean up. Great for cooking, painting and HM play doh session
I think it's lovely that you take the time to cook with her
Does she make bread or pizza yet? Go loves it and is now making soup to go with said bread0 -

What I do though is let her measure out the flour, yeast, salt and water and put it all into my food mixer where I'll let it tumble away until it's easy enough to handle. I then give it to her and let her work it the Richard Bertinet way - bashing it off the counter rather than kneading it the conventional way. That's great fun and when I think she's done enough I'll get her to make a ball from it and we'll put it into the bowl to rise.
By that time she's ready to be collected. I'll rework the dough a little and follow the process through.
There's an old sayinggive a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you can feed him for life
