I bought a king size 16-cm wide Ikea bed in 2008 (+ 160cm king size mattress). I need to replace the mattress now but it looks like Ikea only does 150cm mattress nowadays. Brillant. Any idea where I can still find the old 160cm Ikea mattresses (I mean brand new but the old model)?

I'm assuming you have asked Ikea?

Otherwise, pop over to the nearest Ikea in France. They probably have them.

AIUI, and as a result of Brexit, you can't buy their euro size mattresses in store anymore but only online

160x200 mattress is available for delivery and showing as in stock at my local store (Lakeside).

Yeah well I want a foam mattress (sprung mattresses feel like trampolines to me) so I guess I can forget Ikea
