We need to get a mortgage but it needs to be one my husband will be able to get on his own without them wanting my income, debt ect. We are seeing a broker but just wondered if it's possible for my husband to do it all on his own basically without having to really involve me.

That would depend on affordability and any associations caused by having joint accounts/commitments with him.
Order all three versions of your credit files then appoint an independent broker.I am a mortgage broker. We have one joint account but we are going to close it and get a notice of financial disassociation.0

Re affordability... he earns 25k and looking to borrow around 65-75k. He doesn't really have anything else in his name other than a cc and a HP agreement. Everything is I'm my name but will they want to look at all that?0

My wife is a full time student and they never asked for any of her details. Her name was put on the HTB because they request that and she had to sign some securities regarding that.0
