Races with medals?!

Hello.

Does anyone know of any websites or lists of races where you get a medal when you complete it?

I'm interested in both the UK and France.

I doubt that there will be any one place that will list races that give medals.
It is normally just listed in the race description what you will receive, be that t-shirt, medal, cup, bag, mars bar etc etc.
Best bet would probably be just look up races of the distance and rough location you want to run in then read the descriptions.

Some pre season open athletics meets give medals for top 3.

If it's a mass-participation commercial race costing £30+ it will probably have a medal. If it's a local 5k organised by a running club for £5 it almost certainly won't. Bigger races organised by running clubs and cross-country races will be somewhere in between. Decide which race you want to do then check with the organiser.

Locally organised races are also more likely to have some kind of memento as an alternative to a medal, such as a coffee mug or a coaster.
