Hire Car Companies that do not require Credit Cards

Hiya peeps

Does anyone know of any hire car companies that do not require CCs to rent a car? I've checked all the major companies and they either; do not accept VISA ELECTRON or require a CREDIT CARD for the deposit. Reason I ask is that our car has developed a leak and I don't want to drive it long distance. Thank yooooooooooooooooooo

Lenny

  • I have had this problem and it was solved by paying for enhanced insurance on the hire so that there was no excess to pay / credit card deposit. I just paid by cash. Europcar/Budget did this option for me...

Thanks for your help. Ive found a branch of Enterprise close by that will help. Apparently, the reason for not acceting VISA ELECTRON or requiring a CREDIT CARD is this: A franchise (i.e. local branch) will accept whereas a business/corporate branch (i.e. Airport branch) will not. Lenny
