This was on TV last week and scared me so much that I've decided to only buy whole chickens emanating from the UK!My boys were making so much noise during the programme that I didn't catch whether other foods were at risk. Does anyone know?

That's really interesting.. my sister has had a urinary tract infection for 6 weeks and it is simply not responding to anything. She also has other cuts and grazes and a nose piercing of which not one is healing.. it does make you wonder!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Hi Angua2Your link worked fine, thank you - it's the 'Thanks' button that I would ordinarily click to thank you - but unfortunately on my home PC it doesn't work!A large proportion of imported chickens are, with only a few UK ones infected. Can't remember the exact percentage. However if you look at angua2's link above I think it gives details. It also states that if you cook the chicken properly, there is less likelihood of becoming infected with the mutant e-coli bug. Also, a high proportion of ready meals usually contain imported chicken.0
