How many mortgage applications at once?

Hi,

We were intending to let our property so started the application process for a BTL mortage on our current property, and a residential mortgage for a property we are purchasing. (Early days, applications were submitted end of last week).

However, we have now got a buyer for our current property and would like to port our current mortgage instead. We know all of that is possible (investigated it previously), my only question is if the previous applications will hinder anything? They were with a different lender. We are cancelling them but I don't know if they'll still show up / a simple explanation will suffice etc.

Thanks.

Wont make any difference as long as you can provide an explanation about another application if asked.
