Contracted worker - sick pay

The background:
We have contracted workers on a set number of hours per week. They often do more but these are not contracted hours. Their holiday allowance is accrued based on hours worked.
Our company pays a set number of days sick pay per year (10 for full time employees) and this is worked out on a pro-rata based for our contracted workers.
The question is: do the additional hours they work over and above their contracted hours increase the amount of sick pay they get up to the company maximum of 10 days?
