Hi guys :hello:
I'm not sure if this is ok on this thread or it needs to be moved to the Xmas one, but as it requires info on ingredients i thought i'd ask you guys.
I'm making the famous gift basket thingies for everyone this year and have decided to give the MIL a winter warmer type thing, i'm also going to try and make some Bath Bombs :rotfl:
These are the ingredients i need, my question is where the hell do i find it ?
1 1/4 cups of Baking soda or Bicarbonate of Soda
1/2 cup of Citric acid
2 tsp of Almond Oil or Apricot kernal oil
1/2 tbs of Water
1/8 cup of Instant Coffee
1/8 cup of Milk powder
10-15 drops of Coffee fragrance oil for added scent
Makes 7 medium sized bath bombs
Also i have nothing to mould them with, but i though could i use the trays for yorkshire puds and just stick them together somehow or is hat being really dim

Hiya - what a great idea to do it yourself! I did a quick google and found these sites - but haven't read through them.
http://www.meltandpoursupplies.com/ingredients.htm

Hope they help - some of your things you can get at local supermarket and health food / alternative shops. Suggestion for moulds: what about those nice plastic shape things (stars, fish, etc) that are usually for playing in sand?
Thanks again, am thinking of doing this!Still waiting for Dyson to bring out a ride-on hoover...Memberships:

Hi, you get citric acid in Wilkinsons in the home brew section, or any homebrew shop.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

your bath bombs sound like a great idea
Chinese supermarkets sell huge bags of bicarbonate of soda
Asian grocers sell citric acid (Chinese shop might have it too)
if you can't get Almond oil in a supermarket, try a chemist0 -
Hi there
Could you make the Bombs in ice cube tray, or how about using small xmassy bun papers to line your tins..... you could always make them pretty colour so they look like buns...depending on what consistancy they are when first made...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Ikea sell loads of flexible ice moulds in lots of different shapes0

Hi, just thought you might like to know to watch how much fluid you add, and to add it bit by bit otherwise you could set the 'bomb' off before moulding and the whole mixture will be ruined. But you do get a sense of satisfaction when they are made and people tell you how great they are.:smileyhea:heart: Mrs Lea Nov 5th '11

if you've got one they're great for all sorts of unexpected things, so have a good browse around
my 3Kg bag of Bicarb cost around £3 I think, maybe less (the label's dropped off now) lot cheaper than buying those little tubs in supermarkets0 -
I can recommend the https://www.meltandpoursupplies.co.uk website. I am a keen homemade cosmetics maker and they are fantastic...great price, great service, great products. If you have a look under the kits section, you can get a bath bomb kit with everything you need, including fragrance, colour and molds. I have the bath bomb heaven kit0
