I have a mortgage with NRAM.
After inheriting from my mum, I paid off £65,000 of my mortgage. But NRAM, are not applying that payment to my account for a month. After they originally told me 5working days. And they still want a full interest payment this month of £1295 instead of a new payment of £595.
They wont apply my £65,000 as I asked too, £60,000 to my mortgage and £5,000 to my secure loan.
They are refusing to do what I want, and wont apply the money anyway for 30days.
Tell me this is legal, to overcharge interest on money I dont actually owe as of today..they told me 5days, now say 30.

Look in your mortgage document, it will explain how "overpayments" are treated. If I remember correctly, different mortgage providers treat them differently. It will be "legal" if its in the mortgage contract.:A Goddess :A0

But they told me at the time of payment 5 working days. And told me that they would adjust the payments as I wanted. Currently making a complaint0
