I am changing tactic from May's pay (end of May) as my barclaycard's 0% will run out in October so I want to clear that sooner than later. From May I will pay £470 a month to that to clear it in 3 months.

So challenge 1 - clear Barclaycard in 3 months by paying 1/3 of outstanding balance to it. May/June and July.

Challenge 2 (may need to be adjusted) - From August, pay 662 to Virgin a month to clear it in 6 payments meaning I will be Credit Card free in 2017 (just).

That leaves the first 3 months in 2018 to clear my 2 loans which are on a schedule anyway, so very little I can do there.

It will free up cash to save Jan/Feb/March 2018 towards 2018 costs of, well, living!

    New total is £10,981.84.

I've changed my Barclaycard to take the majority amount from the end of May so I pay it off before the 0% runs out as I've had enough swapping over for my liking and we're almost there on that one. It's got £1415 left on it and I'll clear that in 3 payments (gulp).
Once that is gone, I'll revert back to clearing the Virgin card which has £4156 left. The loans are taking care of themselves as always.
I am very lucky in that I've been given a pay rise for a promotion so I have extra to throw at it this year and making sure I do!
The grocery spends are reducing every month based on what we've got in stores, producing ourselves etc so that is helping.
The end is in sight, I've paid around 3/4 off from my original debt all of those years ago, I'm starting to believe it might happen!

New total is £9262 and I am trying to keep the momentum going despite a lot of outgoings coming up in the next couple of months and then it'll be Christmas and then debt free date!!! I am by no means wishing my life away but it's all going SO fast at the moment.

The B Card is due to be cleared with final payment at the end of November now. That took a hit in the form of a holiday recently and set it back 2 months.

The V card is due final payment February 2018 which is on target.

The 2 loans are happily ticking away to finish in March 2018 as planned too.

    Getting there!

Hi guys - lovely to see some old and new "faces" lol.

My loan payments have just been taken and I could have done without them this month - nearly £700 in total every month but will be worth it when April 2018 comes round and there's no more to pay! I can't wait.

So the new total today is:

    £8601.33

I used to dream about the day I would owe so "little". I'm really really pleased.

I still have my spreadsheet and everything is accounted for.

    Happy Friday everyone!
