I'm sorry, I don't think this is the right forum to ask this, but I'm sort of struggling with this website as the closest forum to my issue won't take new threads.
I have a jumper of mine that was bought from river island. It's made of cotton, but there is a slogan on the front, and the material it is made of (as there is a strip of it on the inside as well) scratches my chest when I put it on. This is making it difficult for me to wear this as spring begins and it's too hot to wear it with a t-shirt underneath. Is there a way I can stop this from happening? I would rather wear it and get more wears out of it than leave it for 6+ months until I can wear it again. Thanks
edit: the label doesn't say what material the slogan is made out of, it just says that the jumper is 100%, but the rest of the jumper isn't irritant and I know that I'm not allergic to cotton so I don't know what could be wrong

Find an old T shirt that you can sacrifice, turn your jumper inside out and cut a paper template to cover the area of the slogan (on the inside of the jumper) then use the template to cut a piece of the T shirt material and use bondaweb/stitch the T shirt material over the back of the slogan. Bondaweb will seal ALL of the area, stitching just round the edges but that should make the jumper wearable and comfortable on its own. Hope that helps.0

A camisole might be an option to a t shirt underneath.0

Or, instead of bondaweb, visit a haberdashers/dressmakers and ask for "fusible web" - this is the stuff used for applique - it's bondaweb but bigger/wider. (My local haberdashery will sell it by 1/4 metre, so the last bit I bought cost me less than £1!). Iron the uncovered side to the t-shirt/fabric you use for covering the scratchy bit - then cut to size (this should be easier with the web already bonded to the fabric) and peel the backing off. Then iron this side to the inside of the jumper.
Oh dear, I feel like I'm making it sound more complicated than it is! Have a quick google - try either applique or fusible web - you'll see how easy it is! (I did it on a similar sweatshirt and if I can do it, anyone can)
