Some good points to consider there and some great info, looks like i am back to the drawing board, state pension deferal is something i knew about but hadnt even considered, i also keep forgetting to include the effect inflation has on things both ways, so my valuations and options need a rework to account for ongoing spending.

Thanks for that i hadn't actually considered that option, i will look into that very soon, she is non working currently.
She can contribute an annual £2880 net which HMRC make up to £3600 gross. That reward is probably less than you can get by the child benefit stunt, but it's worth going for by moving capital out of ISAs.
As you both get older the great disadvantage of pensions - that the money is locked up for decades - dwindles away.Free the dunston one next time too.0
