Mortgage direct debit not come out of bank ?!

HI new to MSE.
Mortgage DD was due out yesterday and they did not take it, i rang bank to see if a DD had been taken and returned they said no. Rang mortgage company today they said the did not know why it hadn't been taken, so i paid over the phone.
The thing is i am really worried as we sold the house last month and have just had our mortgage offer come through. My broker has told me not to miss any payments etc as we are using Aldermore as husband credit score is low due to missed payments a few years back and he recons they will check file again before releasing our funds for new house.
Does anyone know if this will affect my credit file as we had the funds in the bank but mortgage company did not go for them. We have had mortgage for 5 years and the direct debit has never been late or returned?

It is unlikely they will do anymore credit checks so you should be fine.
They will call you prior to completion, do not mention it and you should be fine.

Just to check you are who you say you are on the application and you have applied for a Mortgage...bit odd really but I always make my clients aware so it does not come as a surprise.

  • Hi op,
Sorry to jump on board but I just wondered if Aldermore credit checked you again before releasing funds?

I have also been told that this will happen...

    Thanks
