It's also worth having a chat with the Union pension experts who are likely to understand the particular pension schemes inside out - probably better than a financial adviser. The LGPS can be incredibly complicated particularly for part timers whose hours have varied, the combination of FS and CARE elements, the rule of 85 etc.GibbsRule_No3 wrote: »You mention a Local Council pension, are you working with them still and if so are you a union member? I understand pensions pretty well but there were a couple of issues I neeed clarification on and the pensions expert which the local union rep put me in touch with was very knowedgeable.0 -
