Just cleared my overdraft and am in credit when being paid for the first time in 7 years!! This site has helped me so much! I don't keep an official diary onhere but as you can see from my sig, when I started here and had my LBM back in July I had £14,000 of debt. With the help of techniques of this site and the support of people (which is brilliant by the way) I'm now down to 10,395 and will be uner £10,000 within the week with just my car left to pay.
Admittedly I used some methods that aren't discussed on the boards but it was indirectly through the sit that I learnt of them in the first place. Sorry to rabbit on, it's just a few months ago I felt like my debts were/had been/would never be going anyways and now not only do I see the light at the end, but I' about to put on sunglasses as it's getting so bright.
For al lthose just starting out, this site seriously does work so stick with it, i know I will be!:money:

Well done! Its such a great feeling.
Although not exactly according to MSE rules I cleared mine 2 months ago. I had been living in my overdraft since I went to uni 8 years ago. It got as high as £3k!! yikes! I would come out on payday for a couple of days and promptly go back into it.
I cleared mine for my sanity!
Its strange now watching the balance go down i.e. to £0 at the end of the month rather than it creep upto £1000 o/d. Dont need to do any calcs on how much I have left to live on.Starting debt @ LBM: £8436.51 (8/5/7)
Barclaycard: £5804.52 (May 07) - 6.9% LOB Now: £5315.25
Egg: £1640.99 (May 07) - 1.9% May 08 - Now: £1242.69
[strike]Barclays O/D: £991dr (May 07) - 16.9% - Now: £0.00[/strike]
Debt August 07 £6557.94
Aim: To Clear Barclays OD by Nov 2007! Realistic DFD: August 20090 -

Well done lady, keep it up and you'll have nothing owing before you know it! Are you snowballing your payments now? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
