Grievance

Hi
My partner was suspended at work late 2016, it went to disciplinary process and he received a warning and returned to work in a few weeks.
At the time he was suspended my partner submitted a grievance (on advice of Union rep) in regards to his manager, lots of issues including no duty of care, no assessments, he hadn't seen his manager in over 18 months.
The issues my partner raised were discussed at an Investigation Meeting and notes were taken. The Managers at the meeting were quite shocked at the points my partner was raising.
Fast forward to beginning of February and partner had heard nothing further about grievance and despite being back at work for 6 weeks had not seen Manager either (the same manager who he has not seen for 18 months). Emailed HR and was told the matter had been passed to Mr Bartlett (said manager). Subsequently contacted manager who had chaired Investigation Meeting who said there must be good reason for the delay and he would get someone to come back to him.
We're now at the end of March and heard nothing - partner has sent a few more emails to Investigation Meeting manager but heard nothing from him either, not even an acknowledgement of receipt.
Partner still not seen Manager, now 21 months.
Is there anything he could/should be doing. Did think about contacting Manager who chaired disciplinary meeting as she acknowledged there had been a breakdown in communication but unsure whether this would be appropriate.

Has he phoned him (Manager who is running the investigation) ? Or tried to see him in person ? I never find e mail very effective in such situations, too easy to ignore and delete !0

Honestly I'd leave it and forget about it.
Your partner was suspended, so I assume was pretty close to losing his job. Got a warning and is now cracking on with it, which is a good outcome for him by the sounds of it.
Ultimately your partner is not going to get much detail in terms of what happened (if anything) to the manager in question. Your partner wouldn't want details of his disciplinary outcomes broadcast round the company, and likewise it won't happen for this manager. The most he will get is to be informed that it had been dealt with.
