I have some nice black out curtains but theres a gap at top so they leak a lot of light out the top, I did test by standing on bed and put a quilt cover up and that helps in a huge way but of course its far too big.
I do have a black shower curtrain, was thinking of cutting it up and using it to block the gaps, or getting a large cardboard box and doing same but that will look horrible.
Any other ideas?

Could you raise the curtain rail?
There's already a recent thread on this subject with other suggestions. It was in 'In my Home' towards the end of February. I've found it but I don't know how to put a link to it unfortunately.0 -
Would be difficult, recovering from broken arm but even then it would be a inch at most higher and still a gap at top which is where all the light is leaking from as I have pinned down the corners and used clothes pegs for the gap in middle.0
