Need some advice

Hi
I need some advice on how to manage my money. I always seem to be left with nothing and end up back in my overdraft within a week of being paid, if i could just get out of it i would probably be fine.

My SOA is -

Monthly incomings

Salary - £1,026.12

Monthly outgoings -

Rent - £160 a month - still living at home, no way I can get out of paying this.

Loan £75 - helping mum pay off a loan we had to get to pay off a credit card that my sister used but never paid, cant stop this either. still have a few years on this.

Car insurance - £52.73 (only been driving a year and a bit)

Petrol - £40 or around that.

RBS Loan I have myself - £211.96 - still have £6,146.84 on it.

AOL - £9.99 (used to be £24.99 but got them down to 9.99 as I said was was going to leave lol)

T-Mobile - £10 (was £25 but starting next month should be £10 as I took the £15 discount a month instead of upgrading to a new phone)

DVD rental - £12.99

Sky - £21 I think, got it reduced from £37 so new payment should come off in a few days.

Argos card - £30 a month, balance is £500

Virgin card - around £50 a month, got this to transfer my balance from halifax card and RBS card. total is £2000 at 15.9%, still have 12 months 0% balance transfer on it.

Next account - still have £50 to pay.

My wages have just went in the bank so it paid off the £440 overdraft but that only means im gonna end up back in it once everything comes off again this month.

I dont really have anything to sell on ebay or anything.

I was looking into mystery shopping and registered to retail eyes but nothing is really in my area and sorting your own tax is a bit confusing anyway.

Overtime isnt available at work either.

Anyone know of anything I could do to make a little more money? Any work from home jobs I could do at the weekends or after work?

Im fed up being skint :D

Thanks

    Oh honey!

I can't believe you and your mum are paying your sister's debts for her!

(Would you two like to adopt me and pay mine for me too??? ;) )

The first thing I can suggest to you is that you knock that on the head and get sis to talk to CCCS about her debts instead.

Second, keep a spending diary so you know here all you money goes.

I'm rubbish at maths, but I reckon you have a spare £275 unaccounted for.

Also, very well done on the reductions in your outgoings you've already made, but um.. make more.;)

Find a good intro deal for your dvd's like Love Film or similar.

Combine tv internet and mobile if you can. (Or think about getting shot of the mobile.)

Think about whether you really need a car, and work out how much a month it costs you. Our battered old thing costs us upwards of £350 a month but hubbby needs it cos where he works is 50 miles away and hard to get to by train. I sold mine though - just until we're debt free. :D

Play about with the snowball calculator and have a look at how much faster you'd clear those store cards if you could pay just a little more a month.

And when they're paid off, close the accounts. Store card APR's are evil. ) http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx

Welcome to the gang hon!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

    Hi

Any chance of part-time work, perhaps in a bar, so you get some social life and some money, even for a few months?

    Keep a spending diary.

And are Alliance and leicester still ofering a free overdraft for one year to people who set up a new account? Check it out.

Plis you have advice on cutting back above.
However, until you know the APRs and limts, you do not know where to put any spare cash.

And, get dear sis to pay her own debt.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Hi and welcome...a spending diary is a must!!!...that will def enlighten you to where your money is going...and I agree look to seeif you can get a 0% deal on a CC if you can...then transfer the higher debt onto it failing that pay minimum on the lower interest ones and pay the most you can off the highest interest one and try not to use credit cards at all..good luck
