Prestige Nursing Agency?

Hi. I'm currently working full time in a large 40 bed nursing home but finding it very difficult at the place I'm at, without going into too many details, not enough staff, me being on the short end of the stick with having to do everything myself, training staff, no real breaks in 12 and half hours - yes I know illegal but I can't take what I can't make time for all for minimum wage.

So I was thinking about applying to work for an agency instead, I've heard Prestige Nursing pays highly, has anyone ever worked for these? If so what is it like? How much notice do you get about shifts available and is the work regular? Do you prefer working for an agency rather than full time at once place? I know some say it makes life more flexible with being able to choose when you work and how much etc.

Another agency is 247 professional health, anyone work for them either? Any of them the best? Any advice would be good thanks.

I have not worked for either of these agencies although during the time I managed a care home I used both these agencies to provide staff. I have however worked for another agency and as you might expect there are both advantages and disadvantages. You can choose when you want to work but there is no guarantee that there will be work available at these times. Because you are mainly covering sickness some of the shifts might be offered at very short notice but there is no obligation to accept them. You don't have to accept shifts somewhere you don't like working but they may be the only shifts available. The pay is often weekly which can be useful. Personally I wouldn't recommend agency work if it is important to you to have a regular wage. If flexible working is more important then go for it.
