Hi, I have received a penalty notice and now a few letters from CPM. I ignored these as I felt it was unfair. I now have a letter from debt recovery plus ltd, should I have appealed and should I pay them? I am going through a process of applying for a mortgage soon so am extremely worried. Thanks

I know you have already received advice to come to THIS board rather than the other, but if you go to pepipoo.com forums you will get even better advice, IMHO (and, as you will see from my signature, I am a great fan of this board.)
It does sound as if you may have difficulties, though, if you have already ignored letters. But nil desperandum, here's hoping someone there can help you.
