Unfortunately not. Just because a coin or banknote is legal tender, doesn't mean anyone is legally obliged to accept it
Unless you are paying on exit then you are paying for a service and not a debt.
Legal tender only has a very narrow meaning in relation to debts. Even BoE say forget the idea of legal tender in day to day use.0 -
