I have been trying to buy a cooker from this company. The price is amazing for a Rangemaster cooker but when I try to pay they say my card is declined and the bank won't let me pay by BACS as it is a private account. Is this a real company, does anyone know or a scam?

Don't order from these guys.
They're pretending to be a company they're not.
They have nothing to do with A&M Electronics or Atlantic Electrics, they were using their address and company reg number without permission and telling all people who place orders to pay by bank transfer.
I work in the same building as Atlantic and they're doing everything they can to stop them but they need people like you to make official complaints to the online fraud sites or trading standards.

I would stay away from them. Too good to be true...
I've ordered a fridge freezer from them and received the same email asking for a bank transfer to a Lloyds UK bank account.


I've never been asked that by an online retailer and I started to be suspicious. I rang them the day after and had no answer 3-4 times but to my dismay, someone rang me back ?! He had a strong accent and I've been asked the same thing, to do a BT. When I've refused, I've been told that they will try again to take the payment within the next 24hrs.


I rang my bank and cancelled my card straight away but I'm concerned as they now have my details (home address + phone number). My bank never had a payment request from them.


Reported them to the fraud police, hopefully they'll do something about it.

YES A SCAM...
ORDERED FRIDGE FREEZER MONDAY 27th...Tried to confirm order by phone and spoke to quiet spoken man...Of foreign origin by his voice....No money taken from card but had a text today stating card payment declined...please make bank transfer...

I've just been stupid enough to order from them too, then found this thread after receiving their standard "card declined" email.

I suppose I'll have to cancel my card now too.

I have reported this company to trading Standards and Action Fraud. Trading Standards have confirmed that this is a scam site - if you have been affected please report to Action Fraud. the police can act if they have enough complaints but at the minute the site is still live.

I was stupid enough too but only after checking it all seemed legit, le: https. In browser bar and padlock for security, registered with companies house checked name of directors etc he seems to be a very clever guy. He didn't manage to get any money from me but I got his bank details. Looks like he is transferring money to international bank. I will also contact action fraud.
