Working while on Maternity Allowance

Hi, Are you able to work with another employer while on MA? My wife is considering doing some supply work (she's a teacher) Thanks EDIT: There are exceptional circumstances as to why she would not go back to work where she is in a substantive position straight away.

She can only do the 10 KIT days for the employer paying her SMP.

She could do self employed work or work for someone she was employed with on the 15th week before the baby was due (but isn't paying her SMP or will cease to pay SMP) without invalidating her SMP but there is actually very little wiggle room with these regulations.

I'm also sorry for the loss of your baby.
