Mortgage Advice

Hi all,

So just a quick question if anyone has any advice, I was declared bankrupt in March 2005 and discharged in October 2005 - so nearly 12 years ago.

Just got married and we're thinking about a mortgage application in the coming months. We have around £60K deposit (saved by ourselves) and I was just trying to get a 'feel' about how a mortgage application might go?

In terms of credit report, everything green since the bankruptcy. Combined salary of approx £75K.

In general, do you think i'm in ok'ish shape? Or is the bankruptcy still likely to throw up some hurdles??

Thanks very much for reading!!!
Chris

    You should be fine.
The bankruptcy will possibly need to be declared on some lenders applicatons (it depends how the question is asked) but you should be fine.
