Morning. I have been in my DMP since July and made my first payments on August. All my banks have been very helpful, except for nationwide who I had my main current account with. They have been rather unhelpful!
I'm getting so many calls from them. Can anyone suggest a letter template I can use to send asking for everything to be in writing and to stop the calls? They call me at like 8:50 pm! I asked everything to be in writing in my email to them but it is my credit card they are calling for rather than my loan.
Iv’e found Natwide to be more than reasonable.
SC DMP since 2012.
Natwide overdraft+Credit card included in DMP.
I’ve successfully swapped my Natwide mortgage online twice since 2012.
Did you include your card in your. DMP -if not maybe that’s why your getting calls.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Open a new bank account immediately!
Well, after the bank Holiday at least, and do not have that money paid in your account you have now.

Hey everybody,
Haven't been around for a while so thought I'd check in.
I've been in my DMP since 2014 and I am around 18 months away from my DFD. If anyone is wondering if this is an option for them, it absolutely is. My DMP allowed me to take back control of my finances, have a chance at paying my debt off, and living a normal life without living in poverty, scared to open the mail or wondering when the bailiffs are going to knock at the door.
Stay strong guys you can do this!Original Debt in June 2014: £20,000

Hi.
Well I've just signed my dmp paperwork with Step change and the relief is amazing.
Is it supposed to feel this good?? Happy tears aplenty that I've faced up to it - I know I'm in for a very very long road, but I just feel like I have some control again.0 -

It is an amazing feeling to know you are dealing with your debts AND can afford to get by each month without resorting to borrowing in some form or other.
Well done on taking the first step. Time will whizz by and you will soon fall into the routine of DMP life. It's a wonderful place to be, having come from a life of worry and stress over finances.

Checked Noddle on the off chance this weekend gone, and Link Financial have finally defaulted me after 11 months with no payment.
A quick email to them so let em know I've suddenly realised, as if by magic, they've got my debt and that I'll send em a proposal ASAP.

Hey all I'm new to this forum and we are seriously thinking about entering into a DMP. We have approx. 48k of unsecured debt and we are having to live on another credit card after 2-3 weeks of being paid. We haven't defaulted on any payments as of yet. So after coming across this thread I have a couple of questions.
1) We have an house with the help to buy scheme. Will this be affected in any way? We have just remortgaged in a 5 year fixed.
2) One of the loans is an NRAM unsecured loan that we owe 23k on from a together mortgage we got back in 2006. Would I treat this the same way? Currently this rate is at 12.9%, we pay about £10 off the balance a year at £269 a month.
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi.
Hope someone can help!
So my dmp is just in with Step change.
One of my largest ccs is with Nationwide and reading on the forum they seem to still take action for a ccj which terrifies me.
The dmp is for me only but the house is in joint names, our mortgage is also with Nationwide - we only have shot 10k equity- could they take our house?
Also ate ccjs on a public record anywhere?
Scared!0 -
Hi bewildered
1, Did you save up an emergency fund before starting your dmp?
2, Is your debt unsecured or secured against your house ?
3, Has someone took out a ccj against you ?
