Another tax rebate question

Hi all - sorry for yet another tax rebate question. Apologies as I have posted something similar here before.
I have not gone over the 11k personal threshold this financial year, and have had 3 jobs in this year that I have paid tax on. My current full time job, which I started in January, has just given me a full tax return in my March payslip for all the tax I have paid for that job since starting. However, it has not given me a tax return for the 2 previous jobs for which I am still owed a return on.
Should I have expected this return to come through my payslip, or do I need to contact HMRC and put in a claim separately?
I should note that I never gave my p45 to my current employer. They didn't ask for it when I started, and I called HMRC up myself to check that I was on the correct tax code instead. Could this be the reason why I didn't receive a rebate in my payslip? And for the 2nd of these jobs, it was a very casual job which I only ever earnt £200 from so never formally resigned or received a p45 from (and I'd like to carry this on anyway). I am owed around £600 in tax from my 1st and 2nd jobs this financial year.

I'm not an expert but believe the answer is no to both questions. As you didn't hand over your P45 then your employer doesn't know what you earned and how much tax you paid in your previous job and so can;t refund any associated overpaid tax.
But as I understand it you shouldn't need to contact HMRC and put in a claim - they will have all the details of earnings and tax paid from all of your employers and at the end of the tax year will check all the figures and automatically send you a rebate if you are due one - although it may take a few months to do so. I'm not sure if contacting them will get them to speed the process up.0
