decision in principal..

Hello, first post here..
I have just received a decision in principal for a house at a value of £197k
I have since found a house at £207k that we would prefer.
My decision in principal allowed a mortgage of £173,800.
Is it possible for DIPs to be amended? Would the bank possibly allow a bigger mortgage for a bigger house?
I hope i make sense here
thanks

if you meet affordability criteria then it would be possible. Ensure you don't stretch yourself too much0
