If your looking for a loan and self emplloyed Northern Rock will not ask for proof of income if its below £10,000 - anything over and they need 2 years accounts.
Im sure its the same if you employed - but they only check with your employer if its over £10K
other lenders must have the same policies but their levels maybe different

i was looking for a loan and in the same situation a few weeks ago. got mine from lombard direct. They didnt ask for any accounts either!0
