Applying for sky and broadband before completion

Hi
Our mortgage is accepted and we are just awaiting to exchange and completion which should be next month. I am thinking about being pro-active and ordering Sky and Broadband for a few days after completion date (once it's properly set) as there is normally a long lead time.
However, I wonder if this could leave an imprint on my credit file which could be a risk on the mortgage for when I complete (I assume their is a last credit check before money is released). Is there really a risk for this type of credit activity?
Thanks in advance for advice or past experience

I wouldn't order anything until you have completed. A lot can happen between exchange and completion. Unless you don't mind paying for someone else to use your free sky0

Oh, I thought once a completion date is set then it's rare for it to be moved, besides I could always change the installation date with Sky/broadband provider or use the 14 day cool off period. My real concern is if the ordering of such a service could put my mortgage at risk. Trying to be clever by ordering before we get in and saving some time.0 -
I would wait till you at least exchange before ordering anything, as the chances of anything going wrong, i.e. you don't complete, at that point are slim.0

Luckily my ISP offers an "anti slamming" option so no third party has the ability to cancel the service without my authority.0 -
We didn't have a completion date as such but I did order sky and virgin before we moved and everything was fine. If all else is an issue, which the official date was for us, we just put it back until we were ready and they were happy for us to do that xLose 1st 7lb
