Professional CV Writing Companies?

Hi,
I think my CV is average at best and I struggle to self market.
What do people think to using a professional CV writing company?
There seems to be quite a few. I was just looking at CV Squad and it would be around the £200 area. Which if its spectacular is probably worth it. But are these sort of things spectacular? I don't know and reviews online seem extremely minimal (on any of the companies).
Thanks

Buy a book with good reviews off amazon, do your own. £200 for a CV is just madness.0

I would be extremely wary of companies offering the service, even more so at a cost of £200. I was fortunate when I was made redundant in that the company I worked for employed a company to help us with CV writing, interview techniques. We wrote our own CV and then they gave their thoughts and tweaks, along with variants with emphasis on different skills.
Shortly after that I received an e-mail from a CV reviewing / writing company who had presumably got my details from an agency. Just for the hell of it I sent them a copy of my CV. Surprise, surprise they said that it needed a lot of work blah, blah, blah and it would cost £x. I didn't take them up on the offer.0 -
I'd avoid. £200 to copy and paste your details into a template is daylight robbery.
That said I'll do it for half that
