Don't forget that when you start paying the normal council tax you should be able to get a single persons discount of 25%.
You should be able to pay less for your home insurance and get it through wwwquidco.com to get cashback from it.

You've not allowed anything for food or socialising. What about christmas, birthdays and holidays?
You ought to have a surplus of £500ish per month. I would recommend that you keep a spending diary in order to find out where the extra is going. You really ought to be able to clear the overdraft in 5 months.

Just an idea for you...went I swapped my mortgage I increased the term on the mortgage but then do over payments...that way I will pay it off early but if I ever need to I can pay less...also because they view it that I have overpaid I can take a payment holiday if I need to! Have to be quite strict with myself not to change it to the lower amount!!
Also Kaz2904 gave you some good advice about the spending diary...I love mine!!

Hi there! Did you try the snowballer? Remortgaging doesn't give you 'free' money, so it will tell you how much in interest it will cost to pay off your overdraft by remortgaging.
Also, you are effectively transferring an unsecured debt into a secured debt, which is an extra risk should there be problems in the future.
Definitely remortgage though, otherwise you will just be paying an unnecessarily higher rate - the mortgage board will be helpful I'm sure.
Anyway, good luck and keep posting
